Place Fall Reserve Requests Now!
The
Atkins Library is dedicated to providing electronic reserves services that have
become so popular with both students and faculty, and we are now pleased to be
offering streaming audio reserves! While these electronic services make
course reserves more accessible for students, they increase the processing time
of traditional course reserves. Because of the volume of reserve requests
received at the beginning of the Fall semester and the influx of new students
asking for materials during the first few weeks, we kindly ask for more lead
time for items you need the first few weeks of the semester. After
the initial rush we can promise a twenty-four hour weekday turn-around.
The
Atkins Library Course Reserves unit encourages you to submit reserve requests
needed early in the semester two to three weeks in advance (Late July for the
first week of school). You can find forms and information to submit requests
by email at
http://www.library.uncc.edu/reserves/forms/.
We process requests in the order received and early submission makes it more
likely that your materials will be available when your students need them.
Please contact us at x72843 or
reserves@uncc.edu for any questions or
assistance - particularly if you would like to hear about our new streaming
audio reserves.
Welcome
back!

Traveling this summer? Practice foreign languages with Audiobooks from NetLibrary

|
|
Through our subscription to NetLibrary,
the Atkins Library provides the UNCC community with access to over 150 language instruction eAudiobooks: online versions of
the popular Pimsleur Language Program that you can download to your own computer.
To download and listen to the audiobooks, you will need to create an individual
account with NetLibrary. This can only be done while in the library,
but once you have created your account you will be able to access UNCC's
NetLibrary resources from anywhere with an internet connection. If you are on campus now, click here to create your account.
Downloaded audiobooks can be played for 21 days from the initial checkout. After this, you will be prompted to renew your license by logging in to your account again.
Click here to access NetLibrary's search page. To find the language resources, click "Browse by Subject" under eAudiobooks and choose "Language Studies" to browse the available eAudiobooks for foreign languages, or do a basic keyword search for the language of your choice.
